The gracious nature of Superstar Salman Khan

Bollywood star Salman Khan will fund operations for five hundred patients from the North and East with cataract. The spokesman for the Health Ministry said yesterday (01) that the star had requested Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena for permission to bring down a five-member team of doctors from India to perform the operations.

He said yesterday that The Health Minister "willingly agreed to the suggestion," and instructed the Ministry officials to make the necessary arrangements.

The medical team will bring down the necessary medical equipment and lenses. The spokesman said that Khan had pledged to provide lenses to patients free of cost. The Bollywood heart throb also promised to assist patients who had difficulty in purchasing the lenses for surgery in the future, he added.
