I’ve no problems with Salman: Priyanka Chopra

For a birthday gift on Friday, Priyanka Chopra could not have asked for anything as disastrous as the box office flop of her latest (and much hyped) film Love Story 2050, that introduced beau Harman Baweja. If she’s disappointed by the reviews and rejection, the actress does not show it.

“It was an attempt at making something different. The special effects will still be a bench mark in this country,” she said defensively. But, no, she staunchly doesn’t think a director younger than Harman’s father, Harry, would have made a difference to this futuristic film. “It’s a hypothetical question, but I don’t think so,” she said dismissively. One year older, and wiser, she maintains that her fab figure (that the box office cannot deny) today is the result of over working and not taking time to rest. Priyanka, who finds birthdays very depressing, said, “I started getting depressed the day I hit 19, and now I’m like s*** man!”
Another touchy subject of this year: her equation with Salman Khan. Apparently, the actor was miffed by Priyanka’s unprofessional behaviour on the sets of God Tussi Great Ho, compounded by her refusal to act in brother Sohail Khan’s Mr & Mrs Khanna.

“I don’t have any problem with Salman,” said Priyanka. “I’ve worked with him in some of my earliest films and I’ll always respect him.” But then... “I haven’t discussed this with him so I’m not really sure what’s on that side.”

Those are the only clouds in her sunny skies, otherwise Priyanka’s kitty is full this year with one release after the other. “There’s God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku with Bobby Deol, Drona with Abhishek Bachchan and then Madhur’s Fashion,” she counted, “It’s like having exam fever every month.” With Harman Baweja, she’s doing What’s Your Rashi? What’s this “good friend” business with him? “I don’t want my personal life to be dinner conversation,” she said. Gettit?
