Shilpa conducts workshop to inspire Gen-Next

Shilpa Shetty, in an attempt to make a difference to 'Generation-Next', joined forces with the world famous 'Dove Self-Esteem Fund' campaign this week in the UK to raise the morale of young people all over the world. She initiated this global initiative with an educational workshop called 'BodyTalk' at the famous Sebright Primary School in London.
With this campaign under her belt, Shilpa now joins the likes of 'Desperate Housewives' actress Andrea Bowen, T4's Miquita Oliver, Blue Peter's Zoe Salmon and ex-Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon, who have earlier conducted similar workshops in various schools across Britain.
Shilpa, who facilitated a discussion about personality development to a class of youngsters in the age group of 11 to 14 years, said, "There have been moments in my career where I have struggled with self-esteem, so I'm really pleased to be doing this workshop. As a person in the public eye, I understand the important role I can play in making a difference to the way young people feel about themselves."
About her meteoric rise to stardom, Dale Bhagwagar, Shilpa's publicist, says "Using her iconic stature in UK to advantage, Shilpa gave the workshop her best shot to inspire and influence the young guns. She also educated them on a wider definition of beauty and the reality behind the images of beauty they see in the media".
The 'Dove Self- Esteem Fund' aims to expand their horizon so that they can easily reach maximum youngsters worldwide through similar educational campaigns and workshops in future. The said workshop was supported by 'Beat', UK's leading eating-disorders charity.
