Rani Mukherji: 'Shaurya is strength of mind'

Bollywood's leading lady Rani Mukherji is undeniably an icon of 'Shaurya' for millions. But recently she put her blog on how she takes 'Shaurya or courage' as, on the website for Samar Khan's new movie SHAURYA. Following are her comments, which she put on the blog.

'For me, when I think about what Shaurya or courage means, instantly what comes to my mind is women, be it the workingwoman of today or woman from the ancient times. They have always been a symbol of strength for me.

Just look at the workingwoman today, look at our mothers, wives, we see courageous woman everywhere, everyday. How simply they manage to make a balance between their offices and homes, looking after their husband, children, in-laws etc.

But sadly many people have not understood and valued the strengths inherent in the modern Indian women today. I feel one doesn't necessarily have to be in a battlefield to prove one's courage

When one talks about courage a lot of people relate Shaurya or courage to physical strength but for me Shaurya is and will always be strength of the mind, strength that lies within in every woman.'
