Mike Myers goes Dhadak Dhadak!

Bunty Aur Babli track in Hollywood film promos; Yash Raj clueless about it

Hollywood’s funny man Mike Myers (Austin Powers) features in The Love Guru with Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake. The comic caper, slated for a June release, has included a Bollywood track in its promos!

The song Dhadak Dhadak from Shaad Ali’s Bunty Aur Babli appears for a couple of seconds in the trailers. But the film’s producers Yash Raj Films are unaware about it.

Says an onlooker, “The Yash Raj folk zealously guard their film and music. They are extremely strict on the copyrights. It would be interesting to see how they tackle the issue.”

Parna, head of licensing,Yash Raj Films says, “This is news to me. We haven’t given the rights of the song to anyone. We will decide the course of action soon and might even take legal recourse.”

The Love Guru has Myers essay the role of an American raised by gurus, who returns to the US to break into the self-help business. His first challenge is to settle the troubles of a star hockey player whose wife has left him for a rival player.
