Lakme Fashion Week opens with a bang!

The Lakme Fashion Week opening party got off to a slow start but when it picked up, it really rocked. One of the first to walk in were Esther and Raju Daswani. Soon, Poonam Soni, Viren Shah, Rahul Nanda, Narendra Kumar Ahmed and Kadambari, Niranjan and Jyoti Thakur and a whole lot of other familiar faces got the party dancing on its feet.


Anil Chopra complimented his wife Sabina as the best dressed person at the party, but then, so did she! Kadambari got some votes as did Neeta. But Reshma Bombaywala got the maximum number of votes and interestingly, she was in a dress designed by herself!

"I'm also a fashion designer, you know!" she said. The fashion designer brigade was there in full strength. Apart from Nari, Wendell Rodricks, Lascelles Symmons, Arshiya Fakih with husband Rij Eappen, Sabyasachi, Abdul and others were there too. While the Indian female models decided to call it an early night, what with them walking the ramp for Neeta Lulla early in the morning, the international models walked in only past midnight!

Neeta Lulla was ably assisted in looking after her guests, which she did with diligence, by her son Siddharth. In her own words, "I'm not chilling here tonight, when you're the host, you have to look after your guests you know!"
