Shabana danced her way into her sixties with a birthday bash held at a Juhu hotel.

Rekha bares it all

Rekha is all set to bring out a bare-it-all biography about her life and loves.

The diva has been penning her memoirs of the last 50 years of her life. But Rekha isn’t going the usual way of bringing out a book; the veteran actress is going to make a movie on her life. She confirmed to the press, ‘Yes, I have been picking up the pieces of my life from the memories of the past, I have been carefully going back in time to identify every person who has shaped my life and made me realise that I am a product of love. The most important person, of course, is my mother, who couldn't have given me more love.’

The actress doesn’t have the right words to express her gratitude so instead she feels a film will do justice to the same. Rekha doesn’t want to jump into conclusions as of now and sources close to the actress said, “She will be making a formal announcement soon and is just waiting for a couple of things to fall into place in order to get her film rolling.”

Apart from producing, she has always had a voice for singing, and has been training ever since to launch that private album of songs which we keep hearing about. She is a self-confessed Meena Kumari fan, and like her, Rekha also wants to sing her poetry for a private album. That day will come too, if she can manage to take off with her film first.

Shilpa’s New Best Friend

The reclusive Madame Re has found a buddy in the friendly and sociable Shilpa Shetty. The Bollywood Diva inaugurated her spa at Khar, suburban Mumbai.

Shilpa’s beau Raj was not present at the event. Yet Shilpa was more than happy with Rekha keeping her company.

The two gorgeous ladies of Bollywood have been bonding big time. The reason behind it is that they both were considered ugly ducklings before they transformed into beautiful, graceful swans. Rekha is still considered a diva. Shilpa, with her Yoga, international fame, sexy figure, stylish clothes and business ventures is one of Bollywood’s busiest divas. What’s more, both are South Indians.

Shilpa said that she considers Rekha the perfect Bollywood diva and is fascinated by the mystique and enigma surrounding her.

Rekha, who usually stays away from events, is now a regular guest at spa openings, exhibitions and award functions. She usually sticks to Farzana but with Shilpa now, she has a new friend in her life.Or so we think!

Rekha thinks that Shilpa is living her dreams. After the spa opening, she sent Shilpa a letter saying that she was very proud of her because she (Shilpa) was doing everything she wanted to do, like promote Yoga and start a spa. Shilpa was touched by the letter from her new found close friend.Couldn't Re Madam have just told her that at the event?

Dahlings, she would have wanted Shetty girl to preserve her letter as a memorablia! Class we say.

It won’t be long before we see them going abroad for shopping sprees abroad and soaking in spas together. Who said Bollywood actresses can’t be friends? They absolutely can if they belong to different generations and are not competing for the same roles, especially since they have none to talk about at the moment, and just perhaps take a long break abroad.
