LFW '09: Minissha Lamba: I feel like a princess
The petite and innocent Minissha Lamba turned showstopper for designer Archana Kochchar’s Innocence Collection. She wore a beautiful Victorian era gown with red flowers that lit up as she walked the ramp.
“I feel wonderful, like a princess in this concept gown which is very comfortable and light," said Minissha as soon she stepped off the ramp, "I absolutely loved the dress and the fact that is custom made for me. The dress took a painstaking four months to make but I didn’t contribute anything to it at all. I love to wear good clothes but I have no sense about fashion."
Speaking about her experience on the ramp, Lamba said, “I admire the models that walk for one show after another and have to carry off all kinds of clothes. While I was on the ramp, I just concentrated on keeping one foot in front of the other and making it from one end to the other without falling and with a smile on my face. The fact that people liked it is a bonus but I can’t walk the ramp all the time.”
"I am happy that I got to wear this beautiful gown because in today’s times you can’t wear these unless you are on the ramp or an actress or you are attending a theme or fancy dress party. I love period films and going back to the past so if I get a chance to act in a film in which I have to wear European clothes."
"I am going to call Archana and ask her to send me a collection and I will need a carriage too,” signed off the actress with a smile.
