Aarav joins SRK in lighting lives

If Shah Rukh Khan is the only Bollywood actor to provide electricity to the maximum number of villages in India under the campaign ‘Light a Billion Lights’, then Akshay Kumar’s six-year-old son Aarav, is the youngest person to sponsor a village!

Aarav who was sitting along with his father Akshay and watching “Preity aunty”, who is also part of the campaign, talk on TV about how villages do not have even the basic amenities like electricity in India, was intrigued when he learned that children of his age do not have light to study and play under. “He immediately asked his father Akshay how he could help them. Akshay dialled Preity’s number. who was live on air at the moment and made Aarav speak to her,” said a source.

Preity who herself has taken the initiative of providing electricity to villages, said, “Aarav called me and said that even he wanted to sponsor a village. So today he is the youngest sponsorer.”
