The Legendary Filmmaker B. R. Chopra passes away

Blessed was the day when he embraced the silver screen
By portraying life which the human race always seen
B.R.Chopra was the name of that gentle soul
Who helped many a star score millions of goal!

For all those who think that it's a typing mistake that we have addressed the legendary as 'was' instead of 'is', then, it only means that you still have not been hit by the tornado of the news which has not only shook us but every film lover. The news was that Baldev Raj Chopra aka B.R.Chopra (the elder brother of Yash Chopra and father of Ravi Chopra), one of the famous names who were instrumental in giving Bollywood its identity, is no more amongst us, after he lost his battle to the illness, which was ailing him since long.

The 95 year old doyen breathed his last today morning at 9.15am IST at his residence in Juhu. His funeral will be held today at 4.30 pm IST at the Juhu Crematorium.

With films like Naya Daur, Gumrah, Humraaz, Dhundh, Insaaf Ka Tarazoo, Nikaah, etc..., it was only apt that he was chosen as the most deserving winner of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He is survived by his son Ravi Chopra and two daughters Shashi and Neena.

Bollywood Buzz is at a staggering loss of words to express its grief to the Chopra household. Hence, all that we can say is that may His soul rest in eternal peace.
