Govinda isn't a latecomer anymore

One thing about Govinda that has snubbed his colleagues in the film industry is his late latif ways. Hear of Govinda and one would hear his co-actor or director complaining about Govinda not reaching the sets on time. But all this has changed and how?

After entertaining audiences with his comedy, trying his hand in singing and even cutting an album, Govinda chose to bid adieu to the arc lights and venture into politics.

But now he is back and back with a change! Govinda made a fab comeback with Partner , and has recently finished recording a song – Heeng lage na fitkari rang chokhkha hoy – for the film Loot . He partnered with music director Shamir Tandon for this one.

We're sure that the actor must have done a great job, but we got in touch with Shamir simply to find out if Chi Chi...oops Govinda...he doesn't like the 'C' word anymore... was on time for the recordings. Or was he still the late latif we once knew?

Shamir said, "Govinda was bang on time, in fact a few minutes before time. He participated actively in the pre-recording, the lyrics and music composition as well. He rehearsed a few days before the recording and also came a day post the recording to review the song and make corrections. And there again, he was a little before time."

We are sure that we won't get to hear anymore complains or hear actors cribbing about the once 'latecomer' Govinda. That's some 'timely' change we say.
