Born into Mumbai filmdom's legendary Kapoor clan Karishma Kapoor aka Lolo was one of the most popular actresses of 90's.

She began her career with PREM QAIDI at a tender age of 15. Though initially in the beginning of her career the pretty actress faced few failures but as the Kapoor spirit was in her veins, she never gave up. And with her inherent beauty, talent and bubbly act went on to become the heartthrob of millions. Giving back-to-back hits like JIGAR (1992), ANARI (1993), RAJA BABU (1994), COOLIE NO. 1 (1995), SAAJAN CHALE SASURAL, (1996) and JEET (1996). Later with films like BIWI NO.1, FIZA (2000), ZUBEIDAA (2001) she garnered critical acclaims as well from all corners. With this she was tagged as the leading lady of Bollywood.

Her marriage came as sudden surprise, which broke millions of heart, when she married industrialist Sanjay Kapur in 2003. Today she is happily settled with one daughter.
