Celina’s brother had an accident

Celina Jaitly’s brother Vikrant met with a freak accident last week. Vikrant, who is in the army, was posted in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. He was returning home from work when a speeding vehicle hit him from behind.

Vikrant was thrown across the road due to the impact and suffered head injuries. He was rushed to the Mhow Army hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. It soon became clear that the hospital was not equipped to handle his case and he was transferred to the Lucknow Army hospital.

Says a friend of the actress, “When the news reached Celina, she rushed from Mumbai along with her parents. Vikrant lost a lot of blood. Celina was disturbed after hearing the news.

Adds the friend, “She’s very close to her brother and looks forward to his visits as he keeps travelling around the country due to his postings.”

Celina, who is in Madhya Pradesh, confirmed the incident and said, “He is out of the ICU and much better now. It has been a difficult time for my family and God has been kind.”
