Akki dishes out cricket gyan (among other things!) to Sallu’s gal

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, brand ambassadors for the Delhi Daredevils and the Bangalore Royal Challengers respectively were inseparable at the Firozshah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi, on Wednesday. Though the two support rival teams, they were seen bonding big time as the game progressed!

Katrina visited Akshay’s box and the two chatted away throughout the match. An onlooker says, “Katrina asked Akshay questions about the format of T20 matches and about the field restrictions. They also spoke about films and other stuff.”

The Namastey London and Welcome co-stars seemed to have vibed over cricket and other things.

A source close to Akshay Kumar adds, “Robert Vadhera (Priyanka Gandhi’s husband) was also present for the match. He is Akshay’s fan. Robert said he had seen the latest promo of Singh is Kinng (Akki’s next release) and also mentioned that he found the gesture Kumar makes in the promos, really cool. Akki promptly got up, made the same gesture, and didn’t stop till his team won!”

Akshay also made sure that the crowd never stopped cheering for Delhi. Ever the daredevil, Akki did some stunts of his own near the balcony of the box where he was seated. For over three overs, the actor stood on the edge of the huge viewing box and kept cheering. Seeing this, others in the box also joined in.

After the match, Akshay made his way to the airport, boarded his chartered plane and flew to Bangkok to continue shooting for Chandni Chowk to China. The actor was alone this time around as wife Twinkle and Aarav are in Mumbai.
