Will Akshay be Adi’s Tashan!

After his success run last year with four back-to-back hits, Akki is hot property.

And the actor’s gearing up to keep the cash registers ringing at the BO this year as well, if the initial response to his first release this year Tashan is anything to go by.

Incidentally, Tashan is also the first film from Aditya and Yash Chopra’s stables this year.

However, unlike the action king, the Chopras have not had a very successful inning at the BO last year, what with a spate of films right from Aaja Nachle to Ta Ra Rum Pum Pum to Laaga Chunari Mein Daag to Jhoom Barabar Jhoom doing average business.

And industrywallahs insist that it was Akshay’s ‘Midas Touch’ at the BO that prompted the Chopras to sign him on for Tashan , hoping that Akki’s ‘Tashan’ at the box office will rub off on the filmmakers’ forthcoming film too.

Now, whether Akki will be Adi’s Tashan or not only time will tell.
