Saif Ali Khan: the new Prince charming in town!

We all know that SRK has been unanimously declared King Khan both by the media and trade circle, close on his heels we have a new Prince in Bollywood. No prizes, for guessing this one guys! He's none other than Saif Ali Khan. Yes guys, that's the new name given to Saif after he raced ahead of his contemporaries with the super duper opening of Race. "The title King Khan rightfully belongs to SRK, thus Saif is the new Prince of Bollywood.

It's just perfect, considering, Saif's royal lineage," declares a trade pundit. Saif who has embedded his royal stamp in Bollywood had a rollercoaster ride to stardom. Till somewhere down the lane, he wasn't consider a 'safe' bet at the box office and filmmakers would always shy away from taking him as a solo lead in their films, offering him multi starrer films with Akshaya, Aamir or a Shah Rukh Khan, but now the tables have turned and the Chote Nivab has emerged as a clear winner both in his personal and professional front.

Saif and Kareena are hailed as the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie of India, but Saif thinks otherwise "I think we are much cooler. We are Saif and Kareena of the world, not the Brad and Angelina of India," he grins.

But the fact is that filmmakers are falling over each to sign the new power packed golden couple. "I could love to sign them, if I get a suitable subject. They look awesome on the screen," feels Madhur Bhandarkar. Saif has always spelt sophistication and style, thanks to his royal lineage and his educational background; he belongs to the nawabs family of Pataudi. And not many known that he is the grandson of great Bengal poet and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, educated in Winchester College, England.

But more than his background, it's his body of work that speaks realms of his diverse acting talent. Whether it was Ek Haseena Thi, Dil Chahta Hai, Omkara, Being Cyrus, Parineeta, Salaam Namaste, Kal Ho Na Ho, Hum Tum, Parineeta or the recently released Race,

Saif has punched his mark successfully and hit the bull's eye. “This is the most exciting time of my career and life, every department of mine is loaded with exciting potentials and wonderful possibilities, both professionally and personally. Its upto me to make full use of them," he says.

Noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh says, "The industry always spoke of the three Khans when it spoke of star power — Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman. Then Hrithik Roshan made it to the premium list and also Akshay Kumar. These five actors called the shots, commanded the best fee, while their films fetched incredible prices. Post Race, Saif Ali Khan has joined the elite club and he deserves it. Saif's talent was acknowledged long back; the actor has delivered sparkling performances in films earlier but Race has consolidated and cemented his status as a star with tremendous pull."

Saif is the perfect combination of a stylish star and a versatile actor and a 'SAFE ' bet at the box office, feels the Abbas- Mastan duo. "We always wanted to work with him and we are glad we got the change and the result is for everyone to see. He has arrived on the scene big time," feels Abbas-Mastan.

After having worked with the most diverse set of directors starting from Sriram Raghvan, to Kunal Kohli to Farhan Akhtar, Pradeep Sarkar to Homi Adajania to Abbas- Mustan, Saif clearly has the edge over other superstars. Race, his new release, is his second biggest opener in several international markets, after Kal Ho Na Ho.

Business reports have it that Race has garnered a whopping Rs. 22 cr in just three days after his release coming close to Om Shanti Om that had opened to that kind of massive collection. It is expected to garner 35-40 crore net by this weekend. The film "raced" ahead worldwide boasting of a collection of $10.5 million in three days.

Saif is all geared to branch out and explore unexplored territories. The actor has just launched his production brand Illuminati Films. A-list directors Shriram Raghvan, Imtiaz Ali and Homi Adjania have been roped in to make films for his banner. In fact Raghvan will soon embark on Agent Vinod that has Saif in the lead, playing desi James Bond. Plus there's Karan Johar's untitled venture with Kareena.

And on his personal life, he's blessed with an equally good looking and successful Kareena Kapoor. "Saif has bought happiness and glow on my face. I have also found a new best friend in Saif. We are best of friends, then a couple," declares Kareena

Saif has indeed hit the bulls-eye!
