Kunal hospitalised
Kunal Khemmu must have never even thought that ignoring his health could cost him so dearly.
Today the actor is recuperating in a nursing home for dehydration, vomiting and high fever and the doctors have said that if his state doesn’t improve, they might shift him to a bigger hospital.
Things went awry when the 24-year-old actor was shooting in Goa for his forthcoming film Jai Veeru co-starring Fardeen Khan and Anjana Sukhani.
He fell ill and was running high fever and had a bad headache. This continued for two days but the actor chose to ignore the problem and just popped a few pills instead.
Before being hospitalised, when BT had contacted the actor in Goa, he had said: “My fever is bad and I’m having severe headache, but I cannot hold up the shoot for this. Tablets are there to take care of aches and pains, so I popped a few. There are other artistes, location details, technicians, how can I let others suffer due to something that can be handled with medicines? Producers will suffer losses.”
Later when the actor got a two-day break from shooting, he came back to Mumbai. But his condition worsened and he was admitted to the nursing home.
He was supposed to go to Bangkok to shoot a song with the other actors but now that has been kept on hold, said a source.
His director Punit Sera is all praises for the actor who placed his work before everything else and gave his best shot.
