Smita Thackeray's cause gets Bollywood on their toes

Smita Thackeray's Mukti Foundation's Ten on 9X Anti-Aids concert at MMRDA Grounds on Dec 1, World Aids Day, was a huge success with the stars turning up in droves. There was Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Lara Dutta, Udita Goswami, Sajid Khan, Kailash Kher, Sunidhi Chauhan and a whole horde of performers besides little kids from different social organizations. Dharmendra, Ranbir Kapoor, Priya Dutt, Madhur Bhandarkar, Abbas Mustan, Annu Malik, Dalip Tahil, Rajpal Yadav, Aditi Gowitrikar, Peter and Indrani Mukherjea among others graced the occasion and spoke for the cause and Smita Thackeray's movement.

While Saif was content dancing and watching the programme with his son, Dharmendra complimented Smita on her movement and proudly donned a Aids Day badge from Smita. Shah Rukh took to stage and danced to OSO number. But even when the song went smart boys and girls and SRK pleaded boys to the left and girls to the right, the kids just wouldn't let him go

Salman, despite a sore throat, gave a thought-provoking speech and said, "Using condoms was cool", while Sajid was his usual humorous self. Actor Rajveer of Smita Thackeray's KAISE KAHEIN was happy being at the event and lending his best. His act had to be cancelled as he hurt his foot during rehearsals. Sunidhi, Udita and Lara gyrated to the music sending the audiences swooning, while Smita Thackeray was very happy at the "stars supporting and standing for the worthy cause." She also honoured ten organizations that provided yeomen service to society on this occasion of ten years of completion of Mukti Foundation.
