Sanjay Dutt arrested in Mumbai

The wait is over. Sanjay Dutt has been given a copy of the TADA court judgement today, which means he might soon be back in jail. The actor was arrested soon after.

The court distributed some 17 copies of the 4,000-page judgement on Saturday, October 20 and Dutt was not a part of it. The judges sure knew how to keep the suspense, Bollywood style! All in all, 34 copies remained to be given away today, and now Dutt has been handed over his copy.

Dutt now has two options for future course of action. One, appeal to the Supreme Court against the TADA court judgement, or two, appeal to the apex court for interim bail. The lawyers have decided to appeal to the Supreme Court.

Dutt's lawyers had been trying to get their hands on the judgement copy so that they could decide on their next moves to save the actor from going to jail. Though sources say, an 'unofficial' copy of the judgement had already been acquired by them.

Now that the 'official' copy is with Sanjay, he is likely to serve six years in jail. The actor will most likely be taken to Yerawada jail in Pune today, the same jail where he spent some time before being out on bail for two months.
