Aamir has put Mani Ratnam's film on hold, to start shooting for his home production first

Once done, he will start work on the Hindi remake of the Tamil super hit Ghajini.

atnam's film but I met Aamir some days ago and he told me that he intends to start the film early next year. I will be going to Mumbai to finalise the details. Apart from Ravi K Chandran who will be the cameraman, we are yet to finalise the remaining details. But yes the script is ready and we will start the film in April."
Is actress Asin (who played the lead in the Tamil film) doing the Hindi remake as well? "No she won't be doing the film as she can't speak Hindi. We are shooting the film in sync sound," he said.
When contacted Bobby Bedi, the producer of Lajjo, said, "Yes the film has been postponed as Mani is busy with Guru and Aamir is busy with his home production. My film is based in winter and we wanted to shoot in Rajasthan, hence the delay. But we will shoot some portions depending on the availability of the actors."
