I wouldn’t start my new film until I am sure that the foundation [script] is strong,” Rakesh says
Over to Roshan Sr., who’s going through his best phase professionally, post-KRRISH: “Yes, I am working on two films. But what’s fallacious is that my immediate film will be the third installment in the KOI… MIL GAYA series. Ab tak kuch pucca nahin hain. Till I am 100% sure of the script, I won’t announce my next film.”
Really? “What if the third installment doesn’t shape up to the expectations on the script level? I’ll immediately revert to the second idea that I am working on. I’ll take a decision in a couple of months from now. I wouldn’t start my new film until I am sure that the foundation [script] is strong,” he states.
With KRRISH doing phenomenally well at the box-office, the expectations from his next film have risen ten-fold. “The expectations keep multiplying with every film. If you’ve delivered a box-office dud, you need to work doubly hard in your next film. And if you’ve had a big hit, you have this responsibility to match or surpass the hit. Responsibility kab nahin hoti?” he smiles. Well said!
