Ash has an enigmatic presence?

Aishwarya Rai is playing the female lead in J.P. Dutta's forthcoming ‘Umrao Jaan'. This is first time Dutta is working with Aishwarya. How was it?
A lot of charm lies in Umrao Jaan's enigma. Does he think Ash has an enigmatic presence?
“The character of Umrao Jaan has a lot of dignity and is also very enigmatic. Anyone who plays Umrao needs to have both the traits. I'm very happy with the way Ash has portrayed the character,” said Dutta. He continued, “She has even surpassed my expectations. There is certain quality about her that even when you know her, there is always a doubt about whether you really know her or not. For the character of Umrao, a woman with a smile on her face and a tear in her eyes, who could have been better than Ash? She has been an outstanding Umrao Jaan. One will get to see so much more beyond her pretty face as in the case whenever she works with director who understands her”.
“I remember during the shooting if she gave a shot that I know she could do better, all I would say was, ‘will the real Ash stand up?' and I would get the perfect shot,” recounted the ace director.
